salad Farms

Our farms are located in and around the Mangere airport peninsular and extend to the Waikato area in the North. In the South around the Nelson, Upper Moutere area.

We grow outdoors in and among nature and enjoy the delights of the changing seasons. Sun and rain are what grow strong vibrant healthy plants and we are fortunate in both Auckland and Nelson to be able to grow year round outdoors. We grow baby leaf products and all manner of fancy lettuce varieties. Some of our most popular lines are baby spinach, rocket, beets, chards, Asian greens, frisee, mustards and kale. Our lettuces range from a colorful mix of butters, frilled, oaks, batavias, cos types and heirlooms varieties.

We are committed to the NZ GAP Quality Assurance Programme on our farms and are able to trace our finished products back to the block of land the salads came from.

 

Sprout Facility

We have been growing sprouts for thirty years and so there isn’t much we don’t know about growing them. Sprouts are grown indoors in a temperature controlled environment. Each sprout has its own particular way of growing and unique conditions that it favours. We grow alfalfa, mung beans/bean sprouts, snow pea shoots, tasty combo beans, radish, onion and broccoli sprouts.

 

Watercress Facility

Our watercress facility is based at our salad processing site in Mangere, under cover. We have created an innovative system unique to us that is growing vibrant flavourful cress.
